Ice Skating at Leonard Park

Ok everyone it is time to head on over to Leonard Park to Ice Skate. Yesterday was the first day that the ice was safe enough to walk on. Many people took advantage of it and had a lot of fun. There were young kids learning how to skate and a few boys playing hockey. The best part is that it is all free. If you get tired or cold just step into the Pagoda and warm your self by the roaring fire. It doesn’t get any better than that. Skating will be on a day to day basis so call the recreation office for information 666-3059.

This is such a great thing our kids to do rather than play video games – too bad it hasn’t been open since the 11th of this month.
Hi Meg, We are looking into why the pond has not been cleared. We have certainly misses some perfect days for ice skating! I’ll be sure to let you know as soon as I hear something.
