People around town

My Neighbor Andre
I have lived in Mt Kisco for the past 20 years and have been very fortunate to always have had good neighbors. My current situation is no different. My neighbor Andre Ferrara has been a great help to me on many occasions from offering gardening tips to lending me some tools and even an extra pair of hands. He is a Carpenter by trade but what many people don’t realize is that he is also an artist. I didn’t know he was an artist until I stopped by Big Apple Bagel one day and saw some of his work hanging on the wall. His pieces are pencil line drawings of the Manhattan sky line.
As a Carpenter he worked in NYC and he would do rough sketches of the buildings on his lunch break. When he found the time he would create the drawings at home using only a pencil and ruler. Mount Kisco was fortunate to receive one of Andre’s drawings. You can see it hanging in Village Hall. Most recently Andre could be found selling some of his work at the Mt Kisco Sale Days event. The drawings are so intricate and amazing that you will find yourself wondering how he does it. If you would like additional information please send me an e-mail.
