Cicada Invasion
April 6, 2013
Get out your ear-plugs, after a 17 year siesta our sleepy underground friends the Cicadas’ are going to appear in a back yard near you. This event should occur in mid to late April when the temperature below ground reaches 64 degrees. These are a special breed of Cicadas that have cool bulging red eyes that appear to glow. They will fly in swarms covering trees and grassy areas. Don’t be alarmed they are completely harmless and the invasion will last only a few weeks.
