The Pumpkins are Coming
Thousands of pumpkins are on their way to Mt Kisco. They are being loaded onto trucks at the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico as we speak and will travel via highway to Main Street in Kisco (the United Methodist Church). The Pumpkin Patch returns for the eleventh year and the big Community Event starts October 4th with the unloading of the truck. The fun begins at 4:30 and if you can help out with unloading or anything else (even if it is just to cheer on the Fox Lane Football Team, Boy Scouts , Brownies and others) please come on down. Yours truly will be cooking in the kitchen- getting a meal together to feed all the hungry volunteers.
“We are often described as ‘the pumpkin church’,” says Pastor Karen Burger. “Pumpkins are not only for sale, but make a great photo backdrop. I can’t wait to be involved with the Pumpkin Patch for the first time!” We will also reach out to the community through story-time with local pre-school classes throughout the month and a special “Great Pumpkin Festival” on Saturday, October 20th with activities for children. A Blessing of the Animals is also scheduled for the Pumpkin Patch on Sunday, October 14th at 10:15am.
If you would like further info please call the church office 914-666-5014
The sale starts October 5th – Sun to Fri 12:00 to 6:30 and Sat – 10-6:30
