International Walk to School Day

International Walk to School Day took place on October 6, 2010.

MKES students having fun and proudly holding up the school made International Walk to School Day sign.

Teachers, staff, community leaders, parents, and children joined millions of others around the world for this special event.

Enjoying some exercising and walking as a team are MKES students, staff, and families heading to school on Walk to School Day.

It was intended to encouraged exercise, socialization, and an awareness of the environment.

MKES students, staff, and families meet up with police officer Bobby Cardea and Lt. Lou Terlizzi in front of the police station on International Walk to School Day.

Mount Kisco Elementary School had about 150 students and staff walking plus about 50 families.
