Blessing of the Animals and Fire Truck Rides
The United Methodist Church is getting ready for its annual Blessing of the Animals, to be held on Sunday morning at 10:15am on October 14th, 2012. In what promises to be an inspirational worship experience for every member of the family, humans and their pets will gather in the Pumpkin Patch on the church’s front lawn at 300 Main Street. Featuring music by Music Director Darron McNutt and the choir of the church, as well as an inspirational message by the Rev. Karen Burger, Pastor, and prayers by Saint Francis, the highlight of the service will be a blessing for each animal. Children are invited to bring their favorite stuffed animals to be blessed. In addition, the public is invited to bring photos of deceased pets for a special prayer and lighting of a memorial candle. Photos may be retrieved at the end of the service. The service will take place indoors in the case of inclement weather. All dogs must be leashed.
After the service why not pop over to the Mt Kisco Fire House located on Green street to get a RIDE on a Fire Truck. In recognition of National Fire Prevention Week the Mt Kisco Fire Department will be holding its annual Open House from 11 to 2 all are welcome.
Hey that’s a great pic…have a great day tomorrow!
